From the utter and complete power of the EP’s opening cut “Reflections”, in a new form of danger added to the man’s repertoire with the ‘techy’ “Nebula”, through the EP’s sinister cackling namesake “Carnival”, into echoes of the latter 2000’s skullstep stylings with “Mental Break” and finally closing out with the absolutely epic and unforgiving 32nd note banger that is “The Summoning”… this is a tour-de-force throughout.

Empire-X has been a go-to name for lovers of the heaviest and hardest that Drum & Bass for years, and this EP proves once again without a shadow of a doubt that the man is still at the stop of this game!
